Post Matric Scholarship: From Book allowance to study tour charges, eligible students to get several benefits

Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students is an initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India for SC students of Class 11 and above.

The key objective of the scholarship is to provide/supplement financial assistance to SC students studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary states to enable them to complete their education. The selected students will receive variable awards.

Eligibility for Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students

• Be an Indian national
• Belong to the Scheduled Caste category as determined by the state/union territory (UT)
• Be studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary level i.e. Class 11 to Ph.D. level
• Have passed matriculation or higher secondary or any higher examination of a recognised University or Board of Secondary Education
• Have an annual family income of less than Rs 2.5 lakhs

• Maintenance allowance
• Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
• Study tour charges
• Thesis typing
• Book allowance
• Book bank facility
• Additional allowances for SC students with disabilities for the complete duration of the course

Documents required for Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students

• Domicile certificate
• A passport size photograph
• Scheduled Caste certificate duly signed by an authorised Revenue Officer
• Income declaration, a certificate from the parents/guardians

How can you apply for Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students?

• Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button below.
• Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking, and ‘Continue’.
• Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Post Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, write the applicant’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID.
• Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
• Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the ‘Register’ button.
• The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
• Now, log in using OTP and fill the form.
• An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.

Note –All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted.

The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will lead to the cancellation of the form.

Terms and Conditions of Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students

• The scholarship will be provided for studies in India only.
• The ceiling on age limit for admission as regular students in different classes should be decided by concerned institutions.
• The students pursuing postgraduate courses in medicine will be eligible if they are not allowed to practice during the period of their course.
• All children of the same parents/guardians will be entitled to receive the benefits of the scheme.
• The candidates belonging to one state but studying in another state will be awarded scholarships by the state to which they belong and will submit their applications to the competent authority in that state.
