Bhubaneswar: The 71st Independence Day of the country was celebrated in Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and KIIT University here on Tuesday.
Dr. B.N. Nanda, Senior Economic Adviser, Government of India, attended the celebration as chief guest and hoisted the National Flag. He also took the salute at the parade of the students.
Among others, Saswati Bal, President, KIIT & KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS, Prashant Routray, CEO, KISS were also present.
After flag hoisting, march-past was performed by the students of KISS. The students also performed colourful cultural programmes.
Independence Day also was celebrated in KiiT International School and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).
