ADL and IIIT-BH Inks MoU to Offer PG Diploma in Data Science

Bhubaneswar: AptusLearn, a premier academia driven by innovative Big Data and Advanced Analytics Company- Aptus Data Labs (ADL), announced to offer one year Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science (PGDDS) for the academic year 2019-20 following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ADL and International Institute of Information Technology -Bhubaneswar (IIT-BH), a prestigious university in Bhubaneswar.

Through this partnership, ADL and IIIT-BH have set foot to jointly design and conduct a program that aims to bring in market-ready Data Scientists. The program participants will receive hands-on training in Statistics & Mathematics, Databases, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data & Business Intelligence using cutting-edge software tools like SQL, R, Python, TensorFlow, RapidMiner, Power BI, Tableau, Hadoop and Spark.

AptusLearn, led by ADL’s more than 650+ years of cumulative professional experience, will offer deep technology and business mentorship to the PGDDS program participants. The program, designed for graduate students (or students pursuing final year of graduation) and for working professionals, will encompass comprehensive courses. Qualified and experienced faculty from IIIT-BH as well as certified professionals & veterans from Data Science industry will lead it.

Above all, the program participants will be encouraged to soak in lots of real-world case study presentations and intense tool-based exercises, which are essential to succeed in the current competitive market. Selected top-performing candidates will be offered six months internship as Data Scientists. IIIT-BH will award the PG Diploma upon successful completion of the course.

Apart from catering to the skills upgrade in the areas of Data and Decision Science, the collaboration arrangement will also cover many student and corporate programs, organized seminars and workshops, various consulting and research assignments, and provide holistic engagement to the graduating students. There are plans to set up centers of learning or excellence, incubation hubs or data labs in fields of data engineering, data science, decision science and artificial intelligence in the future.
