India ranks 65 in Global Passport Index

Indian passport stands in the 65th position in it’s latest ranking according to Global Passport Index. The country’s position has improved by nine-notches since 2017.

Singapore has acquired the first position along with Germany with a visa-free score of 165, making Singapore the country with the ‘most powerful passport’. among 199 countries.

Passport Index is the most popular online tool, which collects, displays and ranks the passports of the world. www.passportindex.org is the website which allows users to search, look and compare passports of all the countries.

Data from publicly available sources and official releases is the basis of evaluation of this index. Citizenship planning from Henely and Partner’s annual passport index which ranks passports based on the number of countries a person can travel without a visa or the number of countries one can obtain a visa, visitor’s permit or electronic travel authority are a part of the results.

UAE passport also jumped three spots and is now the fourth most powerful.

Afghanistan and Pakistan remain in 90th and 91st positions respectively.
