Yezdi motorcycles to make a comeback in India soon, Know important details

One of the iconic motorcycle manufactures Yezdi, has announced to make a comeback in India. Yezdi took to its official twitter account ‘Yezdi Forever’ to announce the important news. However, the company has not mentioned about the models that will be initially launched. It is expected that Yezdi will launch an adventure bike and it could be named Yezdi Roadking.

Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra and Mahindra will be behind the re-introduction of the iconic motorcycle brand Yezdi in India. For those who are unknown, way back in 2018, Classic Legends relaunched the Czech motorcycle brand Jawa in India. The Co-Founder of Classic Legends, Anupam Thareja gave a subtle hint on twitter about the return of the Yezdi. The company has been testing the prototype of the upcoming Adventure bike and some spy images are making rounds on internet.

We are expecting that the upcoming Yezdi adventure bike will share the engine from a Jawa Perak. The 334cc engine of Perak is a single cylinder, liquid cooled motor that generates a peak power of 30bhp and maximum torque of 32.74Nm. In terms of features, we can expect full-LED setup at the front, digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity etc. The wheels of the adventure bike are expected to have spoke wheels for better convenience. In terms of suspension the rear setup will have a monoshock while the front will have telescopic front forks. Both the wheels will have disc brakes along with anti-lock braking system (ABS).

According to sources Yezdi is planning to break cover of its upcoming adventure motorcycle in this month itself (November 2021). Upon its launch Yezdi will directly compete with the likes of Royal Enfield.

Even though Classic Legends has 257 dealerships across India, it is expected that the company will enhance them in recent future. Currently Jawa motorcycles offer three models – Jawa 42, Jawa Standard, Jawa Perak in India.
