Yamaha YZF-R15S V3.0 launched in India, know price and features
After the successful launch of the R15 V4 series in India, Yamaha has launched the YZF-R15S V3.0 today. In terms of price, the YZF-R15S V3 is much cheaper than the recently launched YZF-R15 V4 and offers a unibody seat/ single seat. The new YZF-R15S V3 is priced at Rs 1,57,600 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available in racing Blue colour at all authorized dealerships in India.
Keeping in mind about the requirement of a proper pillion seat in day to day commuting, Yamaha took the decision of introducing a uniseat in the YZF-R15S V3. Since the launch of first version of R15S, the strategy for the introduction of R15S model has remained the same. The R15S models continue to be on sale post the introduction of newer models.
The Yamaha YZF-R15S V3.0 has the same 155cc, 6 speed, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, 4-valve engine that is present in the R15 V3 series. The maximum power produced by the engine is 18.6 PS at 10,000rpm while the torque is 14.1 Nm at 8500rpm. In terms of features the R15S V3 gets Multi-functional LCD instrument cluster with gear shift indicator, assist and slipper clutch, side stand with engine cut-off switch and dual channel ABS.
In September 2021, Yamaha has introduced R15 version 4 series in India. The starting price of the R15 V4 is Rs 1.70 lakh (metallic red) and it extends up to Rs 1.82 lakh (R15 V4 M MotoGP edition).
In terms of design, the R15 duo borrows their sharp style from their elder sibling, Yamaha R7. The R7 was launched in the international market in May 2021. The bikes get new single headlight with M shaped intake duct. The headlamp has two DRLs at both sides (the headlight being at the centre).
The R15 V4.0 is offered in three colours which include Racing Blue, Dark Knight, and Metallic Red. On the other hand, the R15M is offered in Metallic Grey and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition colour variants.
