Yamaha likely to launch the 2022 Yamaha FZS25 very soon in India

Yamaha has recently introduced new trims of Yamaha FZS FI in India and is now all set to introduce the 2022 FZS25 very soon. Even though there is no official announcement of the information, various sources have reported about the same.

The FZS25 will receive minor changes in the form of cosmetic touches. The new colors that are expected to be introduced are Matte Copper and Matte Black.

In terms of power, the new 2022 FZS25 will be powered by the same 250cc single-cylinder engine that is coupled with a five-speed gearbox. The engine produces a 20.5 bhp of peak power and 20.1 Nm of maximum torque. The suspension of the bike is handled by telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. In terms of safety, the motorcycle gets dual disc brakes along with dual-channel ABS. The 2022 FZS25 is expected to include full-LED lighting and LCD display like the current edition.

Currently the Yamaha FZS25 has a retail price of Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom Bhubaneswar). However, considering the latest price hike in the automobile sector, we expect that the new Yamaha FZS25 will receive minor price hike over the current version. The Yamaha FZS25 is quite an excellent commuter/ tourer available in the Indian market at a price range of under Rs 1.5 lakh. We expect that Yamaha will like to retain the affordability factor if it upgrades the motorcycle.

The Yamaha FZS25 goes up against the likes of Bajaj Dominar 250, Bajaj Pulsar F250/ N250 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.

Recently the bike manufacturer has launched the 2022 FZS variants- FZS and FZS DLX in the Indian market. The bikes get a cosmetic upgrade along with some other upgrades.

Both the Yamaha FZS and FZS DLX are powered by a same 149cc BS6-complaint engine. The 149cc air-cooled engine churns out 12 bhp of power at 7350 rpm and 13 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. The engine is mated with a 5 speed gearbox. In terms of suspension, the FZS and FZS DLX have telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear.

Both the Yamaha FZS and FZS DLX are priced aggressively in comparison with other 150cc segment bikes in the Indian market. The FZS-Fi is priced at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the FZS DLX will cost Rs 1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
