World’s Fastest Electric Car: Tesla Model S Plaid Shatters All Records

Tesla motors have managed to gather attention of the automobile enthusiasts from time to time with ground-breaking techniques in electric cars.

This time, the automaker has gathered attention as it has officially stated that the Tesla Model S Plaid car has registered 9.23 seconds to achieve the speed of 249.5 kmph.

This development comes days after American television host and comedian Jay Leno said that he witnessed the Model S Plaid reach a speed of 244.9 kmph in a time frame of 9.24 seconds.

However, the acceleration test done by Tesla found the Model S Plaid to be faster than claimed by Jay Leno.

Earlier, the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk had compared the Model S Plaid with a spaceship. Elon had also mentioned that the delivery of car had been pushed to June 10.

The Model S Plaid claims to attain 0-60 mph in 1.99seconds, while the top speed attained by the car is 200mph. The peak power achieved by the car is 1,020 hp.

The interiors of the car has a 17 inch cinematic display and gets connectivity features like multi-device Bluetooth, wireless and USB-C charging for smartphones, tablets and laptops.

In terms of audio, the car gets a 22-speaker, 960 watt system with active noise cancellation.
