Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift set to launch tomorrow in India, Check expected features of the SUV

Volkswagen is all geared up to launch the facelift Tiguan in India tomorrow. This will be the second SUV launched in India by the company in this year (2021). The facelift Volkswagen Tiguan SUV receives a bunch of upgrades as compared to its predecessor. The company will reveal about the prices of the SUV at the time of its launch on December 6.

Engine

Under the hood of the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan is a 2.0-litre petrol engine that churns out a power of 190bhp and a peak torque of 320Nm. It is mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox as a standard unit.  The SUV does not offer any diesel engine.

Design and cabin features

In terms of exterior, the facelift Volkswagen Tiguan gets a redesigned LED headlamp. The headlamps are integrated with daytime running lights (DRLs) in a single unit and gets adaptive control. The grille present at the front side of the SUV is wider than its predecessor, while the alloy wheels are new. The LED tail lamps add to the beauty of the Volkswagen Tiguan. The Tiguan SUV gets skid plates at the front and the rear, which gives it a more premium look.

Speaking about the cabin of the Volkswagen Tiguan, the car gets Vienna leather upholstery that looks really nice. The panoramic sunroof gives the passengers a premium experience as they travel in the SUV. Some of the other features offered on the SUV are digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, electrically-adjustable driver seat, climate control, ambient lighting etc.

Safety

Some safety features offered on the Volkswagen Tiguan will include cruise control, six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), ESP, rear-view camera, hill descent control and many more.

It is expected that the Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift will be offered in two trims. However, there are ample chances that the company can provide additional trims as it introduces the SUV tomorrow.

It is expected that the Volkswagen Tiguan will compete with the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Citreon C5, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV700 etc.
