TVS Apache RTR 165 RP launched in India, Check the price, specification and other details

TVS Motors has finally launched the much anticipated TVS Apache 165 RTR RP edition at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). This Apache 165 RTR RP edition is the first motorcycle under the Race Performance Series in India. The TVS RP series inherits the racing lineage of the company into the Apache series.

In terms of Apache RTR series, the Apache 165 RTR RP sits above the Apache RTR 160 4V and below the Apache RTR 200 4V. The additional enhancements in the bike enhance the riding experience of the bike. However, the buyers should hurry up in the booking of the bike as it is only limited to 200 units.

TVS had earlier teased a video of 14 seconds about the launch of Apache 165 RTR RP edition. The company had teased that the new bike will provide ‘the pinnacle of performance’. The Apache 165 RP is based on the 164.9 cc single-cylinder 4 valve engine. The Apache RTR 165 RP churns out a power of 19.2 PS at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 8750 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed transmission.

The TVS Apache RTR 165 RTR RP features an aggressive headlamp with signature front position lamp (FPL).  The all LED Class B headlamp consists of 5 LEDs – 2 low beam and 3 high beam. It features a signature front position lamp (FPL) with stallion logo. The motorcycle is equipped with a 240 mm rear disc brake which is first in the segment.

In terms of looks, the Apache 165 RP gets TVS Racing decals which are a combination of red, white and blue graphics. This means that it will draw more attention than the regular RTR series motorcycle. The seat of bike gets a dual toned finish of red and black. A decal signifying the 15 years anniversary edition is present on the fuel tank.

The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP gets an adjustable clutch and brake levers along with a slipper clutch. Additionally the bike gets brass coated chain which will give it an added durability.

TVS Apache 165 RP edition will give tough competition to Bajaj Pulsar 150, Yamaha FZ16 and other motorcycles in the 150-160cc category. Currently, TVS Apache is currently offered in five editions- Apache 160, Apache 160 4V, Apache 180, Apache 200 4V, Apache RR 310.
