If you are car enthusiast, then you must have noticed that Toyota Fortuner is perhaps the most liked SUV in India. Since the introduction of Toyota Fortuner in 2009, the popularity of the car has been second to none. Even today in 2021, the Toyota Fortuner has retained its popularity among the buyers. The only competitor of the Toyota Fortuner was the Ford Endeavour. However, after the exit of Ford from India, the Fortuner is currently the king of its segment. Many Fortuner owners in India have opted for modification in order to get a new look. One of those owners has modified his Toyota Fortuner into a Lexus.

This modification (which is stunning) has been made by Sai Auto Accessories of Mumbai on a Toyota Fortuner 2017 model. The Lexus style body kit enhances the look of the Fortuner majorly from the front and slightly from the sides and back. However, there is no engine modifications made on the Fortuner. For those who are unknown, Lexus is the premium brand from Toyota.

At the front the bumper of the Fortuner is replaced with that of a Lexus. Seven horizontal strips make the front grille stand out in common sight. The fog lights at the front are replaced by boomerang shapes DRLs (Day time Running Lights). The presence of heavy chrome can be seen at the front of the vehicle. An aerodynamic design is given on the sides of the SUV and it is placed just above the steps. Even though it is a small change, it does enhance the beauty of the vehicle from the side.

Coming to the rear section of the fortuner, an add-on bumper is placed on the existing bumper of the SUV. Two virtual exhausts can be seen on the rear. Even though they are just cosmetic, they do make an impact on the looks of the vehicle. The tail-lights of the Fortuner also receive an upgrade in this modification. An extra LED light runs parallel with the existing two LED lights. Another addition to the lighting set-up is the introduction of pillar lights. The dummy pillars at the rear are replaced to accommodate the pillar lights. The rear plate which has the name of vehicle is replaced by illuminated plate.

Toyota has ungraded the Fortuner this year in January. The company introduced the new variant of the Fortuner- Toyota Fortuner Legender at Rs 38.61 lakh (ex-showroom in New Delhi). The 2755cc 6-speed Diesel AT engine produces power of 204 PS and torque of 500Nm.  The legender has option for 2WD and 4WD. The top spec model of the legender costs Rs 42.33 lakh (ex-showroom in New Delhi).
