This e-bike receives over one lakh paid bookings in India within two months

Electric vehicle manufacturing company eBikeGo has claimed that it has received over one lakh orders for its ‘Rugged’ electric bike which was launched within two months of its official launch.

According to the company, eBikeGo has received 1,06,650 paid bookings for the Rugged electric scooter worth Rs 1,000 crores till now.

The eBikeGo has launched ‘Rugged’ electric moto-scooter in two variants- Rugged G1 and Rugged G1+. The base G1 variant is claimed to have a range of 80 km on a single charge and is priced at Rs 84,999 (ex-showroom) while the G1+ variant can go up to 160 km on a single charge and is priced at Rs 1,04,999 (ex-showroom).

The company has closed master franchises of Rugged in three Indian states, namely Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Maharashtra in the last two months. It has also partnered with a total number of twenty-two dealership stores in Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai and Bihar along with one cost & freight agent.

eBikeGo also aims to expand its presence to ten more states, including Gujarat, Delhi and Rajasthan.

The company also expects the bookings to increase in the recent days due to the ongoing festival season.

The company aims to gain 50,000 bookings in the upcoming months, the founder further added. eBikeGo has recently introduced four new colours for Rugged such as the Red, Blue, Black and Rugged Special Edition.

Rugged e-bike specs

The Rugged electric scooter can hit a top speed of 70 kmph and is features a 3kW electric motor. It has a 2×2 kWh replaceable battery which gets charged in 3.5 hours. The total range provided by the electric scooter is 160 kilometres.

Furthermore, the body of the electric scooter gets a cradle chassis and steel frame. The scooter has a keyless feature in order to unlock/ lock it. There is 30 litres of storage space while there are also 12 smart sensors on the product.
