Tata Tiago CNG to launch in India next month, Interested buyers can book the car now

It seems that Tata Motors is leaving no stone unturned in surprising us. A few days after the launch of Tata Punch SUV in India, the car manufacturer is all geared up to launch the Tata Tiago CNG version. Even though the exact dates of launch are unknown, it is expected that the Tata Tiago CNG will launch by November 2021 end. The deliveries are expected to begin in December.

The good news for the buyers of the Tiago CNG is that the booking of the vehicle has already started across various dealerships. Interested buyers can book the Tiago CNG by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 11,000- Rs 15,000. For those who are unaware, the Tata Tiago CNG will be Tata’s first CNG powered car in India.

According to the spied images on the internet, the overall design of the hatchback seemed similar to its petrol sibling. The new vehicle gets projector headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights, fog lamps, shark fin antenna, LED tail lamps etc.

Currently, the Tata Tiago is offered with a BS6 compliant 1.2 litre petrol engine. The engine generates a maximum power of 86 PS at 6000 RPM and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 3300 RPM. The petrol engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. A 5-speed AMT gearbox is also available for the buyers. The upcoming CNG version will inherit the Tata Tiago de-tuned petrol engine along with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

At present the Tata Tiago petrol starts at Rs 4.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 7.04 lakh. A total of 11 variants are offered by Tata. While the base model of Tiago is XE, the top variant is Tata Tiago XZA Plus Dual Tone Roof AMT.
