Tata Punch micro SUV unveiled ahead of its launch in India, Check booking amount and other details

Leading automaker Tata Motors has unveiled its upcoming micro SUV Tata Punch for the Indian market. The company will launch four trims of the Tata Punch SUV in the Indian market. The transmission options available for the users will be in both Manual (MT) and Automatic (AMT). The buyers can purchase the micro SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000 after it is launch.

It is expected that Tata Motors will launch the Punch SUV by Diwali 2021. In the Tata Motors SUV hierarchy the Punch will fit just under the Tata Nexon. The Tata Punch is built on an ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) Architecture and has a ground clearance of 187mm. The Punch will also have a class-leading comfort and connectivity features.

The Tata Punch SUV will have a 1.2L Revotron BS6 engine along with a Dyno-Pro technology. The engine is paired with 5-speed manual transmission or AMT. The engine will have various modes like the city and eco modes as well as a cruise control. Notably the SUV will have a water wadding capacity of 370 mm. In order to provide more convenience of passengers the Punch gets a 90-degree opening doors just like the Tata Altroz.

In terms of design the Tata punch borrows much of its design from the company’s larger SUVs like the Harrier and Safari. The split headlamp of the SUV can be distinctly seen whereas the grille of the Punch feels similar to other Tata SUVs.

When it comes to interior, the Tata Punch is minimalistic in design. It has a support for Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay for better connectivity. Even though the company is yet to announce the price of the micro SUV, it is expected that the Tata Punch will be priced just under Rs 5 lakh and will go up to Rs 8 lakh.
