Tata 407 gets a CNG variant in India, Know details about its price and specifications

When it comes to commercial vehicle, Tata Motors can be considered as one of the forerunners in the business. The Tata 407 truck now gets an option for CNG as well. Tata motors have launched the CNG variant of the popular truck in India on September 13.

In terms of benefits, the new CNG variant of Tata 407 offers customers with up to 35 per cent profits over the diesel variant. The 407 CNG is designed to offer best in class performance and reliability like its Diesel counterpart, informed Tata Motors.

The Tata 407 CNG is priced from Rs 12.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). The new Tata 407 CNG is expected to strengthen the CNG portfolio of the company in the intermediate and light commercial segment.

In terms of engine, the 407 CNG is powered by a 3.8-litre engine which can deliver a peak power of 85PS and a torque of 285Nm. The fuel capacity of the tank is 180 litres which ensures higher productivity to the customers. The engine also gets a fuel efficient SGI technology for better performance.

The cabin of the vehicle is made up of a high grade steel, which makes it safe for the drivers. The cabin gets equipped with an USB port which can be used to charge electronic gadgets including smartphones. A Blaupunkt music system is also offered on the vehicle said Tata motors.

Tata Motors is offering a warranty of 3 years/ 3 lakh kilometres on the 407 CNG which gives its customers a big relief over expenses in maintenance.

The Tata 407 CNG gets Tata Motors Fleet Edge feature – a next-generation connected vehicle solution for fleet management, with informed decision making.

For those who are unknown, the real-time insights for track and trace, vehicle health, driving behaviour, real-time fuel efficiency and fuel loss alert are provided to customers through Tata Motors Fleet Edge portal. The Tata Motors Fleet Edge is also available through smartphone app for the convenience of users.

According to Tata, the 407 vehicle has been a legendary vehicle for a period of more than 35 years for its exceptional performance. The 407 has been sold over 1.2 million units and is the highest selling vehicle in its segment, the company added.
