Suzuki recalls 4 Lakh two-wheelers including Access 125 in India

The leading two-wheeler maker Suzuki has made a huge recall announcement for nearly 4 lakh motorcycles and scooters in India. The two-wheeler models were reportedly recalled due to a faulty high-tension cord connected to the ignition coil.

The recall announcement has reportedly been made for popular models such as the Access 125, Avenis 125, and Burgman Street 125 models. The recall will affect models, which were manufactured between April 30, 2022 and December 3, 2022.

It has been reported that a total of 3,88,411 scooters fall under the inspection initiative.

As per the data on Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) website, 263,788 units of Access 125, 52,578 units of Avenis 125 and 72,045 units of the Burgman Street have been recalled.

Suzuki is in the process of contacting the owners of the affected scooters and will get the faulty part replaced free of cost at the nearest service centre. The Access 125, Avenis 125 and the Burgman Street were recently upgraded with new colour schemes in India.

When it comes to the bike segment, the tech-loaded V-Strom 800 DE also falls in the affected category. The model was added due to a faulty rear tyre issue. As per the details shared by the brand, some portion of the tyre tread may separate, causing cracks in it.
