Maruti Suzuki has launched a new electric scooter named Suzuki e-Access in the Indian market at Rs 1.88 lakh(Ex-showroom). The bookings for the newly launched electric scooter has also commenced. For your information, the e-scooter was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo last year.

Cutomers get to choose between a dual-tone colour option—Metallic Mat Stellar Blue with Metallic Mat Fibroin Grey and single tone ones. With this addition, the e-Access is now offered in four colour schemes.

Suzuki e-Access Features

The Suzuki e-Access is powered by a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, which the company claims offers a longer service life compared to conventional battery chemistries. The Lithium Iron Phosphate battery powers a 4.1kW electric motor that produces 15Nm of torque. It features three ride modes—Eco, Ride A and Ride B—along with reverse mode and regenerative braking.

Suzuki claims that performance remains consistent even at low battery charge levels. To add to the safety aspect, the battery is housed in an aluminium case integrated into the chassis, aimed at improving rigidity and handling.

The electric scooter is equipped with an array of features including LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels and a belt drive system designed for minimal maintenance.

The Suzuki e-Access will be sold across the existing network of over 1,200 sales and service outlets. The company adds that DC fast-charging facilities are currently available at more than 240 locations, while portable AC chargers are offered across the network. The company has also trained EV-specific technicians for aftersales support.

Suzuki showcased the e-Access at the Bharat Mobility Expo last year and it has taken Suzuki close to a year to launch it. It competes with the likes of the Ather Rizta and the TVS iQube.
