Mumbai: The Rupee fell by 16 paise on Monday to 69.78 a Dollar.

Indian currency opened at 69.80 but ended with a low showing a loss of 0.228%. The day had begun with 69.80 a Dollar.

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex fell by 8.39 to 36,068. The Dalal Street bade adieu to Calendar 2018 on a flat note. Nifty ended at 10,863.

Trading for the last session of the calendar year 2018 began on a positive note.

However, stocks trimmed gains as the day progressed with benchmark indices trading in a narrow range. Both the benchmark Sensex and the Nifty finally closed the day near the flat line.

We can easily say that for the year 2019, movement in crude oil & currency, revival of corporate earnings, Union budget and general election along with trade war & slowdown in global economy are the factors that will decide the trend of the market.
