Revolt Remote Start: Now Start your bike with mobile

Revolt Motors has announced that it has added a remote start feature to all its electric bikes. With this feature, the electric bikes can be started and shut off via rider’s smartphone through the MyRevolt app, claimed the company.

And all its bikes can also be locked and unlocked using the rider’s smartphone as a virtual key.

This feature is expected to be available for Revolt electric motorcycles from September 2021.

The new Revolt electric motorcycles will be available with this technology and customers who have already purchased the RV400 bike can also use this feature after the system update.

The company has claimed that Revolt electric motorcycles are equipped with artificial intelligence and advanced cloud-based software system and the new feature will use these system.

This will be the first time a EV company has provided such technology in India, claimed the company.

Rahul Sharma, Founder and Managing Director, Revolt Motors said, “Revolt is constantly striving to enhance its ride experience by introducing new innovations.” “With this feature, consumers no longer need to have a separate key, one can start the bike from their mobile,” he added.

How to use it

To switch on the e-bike, the user has to open the app and slide the power button from left to right.

With this feature, the users can be switch on or off or locat their e-bike in a crowded parking place without any key. This feature will also enhance the overall safety of Revolt electric bikes as you dont have to worry about forgetting or losing your bike keys.

Revolt Motors has launched only two products in the Indian market — RV300 and RV400. While the RV400 is the top end variant and RV300 is the base variant.

Revolt RV400 price and discount

Revolt Motors has reduced the price of the bike by up to Rs 28,000 recently. It is all thanks to the subsidy provided by the Government of India under the FAME India (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Strong Hybrid and Electric Vehicles in India) scheme.

After the latest price cut, the Revolt RV400 is now available for purchase for Rs 90,799 (ex-showroom). Earlier its ex-showroom price in Delhi was Rs 1,18,999.

Meanwhile, under the new electric vehicle policy of the Gujarat government, this bike is now being sold for Rs 87,000 in Ahmedabad.

RV400 Engine and Features

RV400 comes with a 3.24 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which offers 72 V power. The bike is available with three riding modes of Eco, Normal and Sport. In Eco model, top speed is at 45 km/h and a range of 156 kms while in Normal mode this goes up to 65 km/h and range of 110 kms.

on the other hand, the bike offers a top speed of 65 km/h and range of 80 kms in  sport mode. The Revolt RV400 has a low running cost of Rs 9 per 100 kms.

The e-bike has also many advanced features like the sleek LED headlamp, wide spaced handlebars, completely covered side panels and foot pegs which can be adjusted from mid to rear positions for better rider comforts.

RV400 can be operated through MyRevolt App offering connectivity features such as bike locator, geo fencing and customized sounds along with complete bike diagnostics, battery status and ride history.

Apart from this, the bike gets upside down forks in the front and fully adjustable monoshock at the rear. The company also offers the swap option at the nearest Revolt Switch Station.

Revolt also offers the RV400 with an 8 year per 1,50,000 kms warranty along with free maintenance of 3 years per 30,000 kms and product warranty of 5 years per 75,000 kms.

Revolt has announced that the company will launch a new entry-level electric motorcycle in India named RV1 which will replace the RV300.

This new Revolt electric motorcycle will be cheaper than the the RV300.

RV1 will be produced in India with locally sourced components at the company plant in Manesar and the production will start from January 2022 and that production will commence by January next year.
