Renault Dacia Jogger 7 Seater MPV unveiled with SUV like styling

Car manufacturer Dacia, Renault’s sub-brand in Europe, has launched a new 7-seater car in the Jogger family. The Renault Dacia Jogger is the company’s longest car yet with an overall length of over 4.5m with 200 mm ground clearance.

The company has claimed that the Jogger gets the space of an MUV and the styling of an SUV.

The Romanian manufacturer is targeting a wide range of customers with the new Jogger.

Features

The new Dacia Jogger is based on the CMF-B platform. The car has advanced feature for a more comfortable ride in rugged areas.

The new car gets 200mm of ground clearance (unladen).

The car comes with Y-shaped LED daytime running lights, modular roof rails which has the capacity to carry weight up to 80kg.

In terms of dimension, the Jogger is 4547mm in length while the wheelbase measures 2897mm.

It offers up to 1,819 litres VDA of cargo space when seats are folded. The middle row is offered in 60:40 split seats.

The bootspace capacity remains at 213 litres when all rows are up and it can rise up to 712 litres if the last row is folded and measured to the top of the backrest.

The car sports a flat rear end with vertical taillights and large quarter panels for the third row seats. It has silver rear skid-plate and blacked-out flex wheels.

The top-end variants will be available with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The Dacia Jogger was showcased in a shade of Teracotta Brown but it will also be offered in other paint options like Pearl Black, Slate Grey, Moonstone Grey, and Glacier White.

Safety features

The Dacia Jogger has six airbags, including curtain and side airbags for the safety of the abdomen, chest, and head area, It also has a range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The other safety features of the car includes Emergency Brake Assist, Blind Spot Warning, Park Assist, Hill Start Assist and Electronic Stability Control.

Engine

The Dacia Jogger will be available with two engines, including the brand new TCe 110 turbocharged petrol engine.

The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol produces 108 bhp while the LPG version develops 99 bhp and it uses the bi-fuel tech which was also used in the Sandero.

It could also arrive in a hybrid variant in 2023 that will feature a 1.6-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery and automatic transmission.
