Rajesh Power Services Enters Odisha with Massive ₹212 Crore Underground Cable Transmission Order

Rajesh Power Services landed a huge engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract, worth ₹211.68 crore, from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL). The job calls for a full suite of work—design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning—in order too build a 220kV single circuit line using underground cables. This high-voltage line will link the 400/220/132/33kV Grid Substation at Mendhasal with the 220/132/33kV Gas Insulated Substation at Chandaka-B.

Besides setting up this essential underground cable, Rajesh Power Services will manage infrastructure upgrades at both sites. The contract spells out that one 220kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS) bay extension will be added at Mendhasal, while Chandaka-B will get a new 220kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) bay extension.

For Rajesh Power Services, this deal is much more than just business. It’s their first formal step into Odisha, letting them stretch their reach into the eastern part of India. More than just entering a new market, this order is one of the biggest transmission projects they’ve ever won. It’s a significant milestone for their growth and strengthens their presence in the industry.
