Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV will be making a global debut on August 2 and we are quite excited about it. The production variant of the Basalt will be similar to the original design sketch that the company shared earlier. The SUV misses the sunroof and the price is expected to be between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 12 lakh.
When it comes to the design, the coupe-SUV gets plastic cladding as opposed to the gloss black finish. We get a diamond cut alloy wheels on the vehicle and that appears smaller than the original sketches. It is assumed that the wheels will be 17-inches. The door handles will be flap-type while the tail-lamps are halogen in nature. The coupe-SUV gets LED projector headlamps along with DRLs.
In the interior, we get a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay. The coupe-SUV gets digital instrument cluster, auto climate control with toggle switches, and much more. The latest images of the SUV, shows that the Basalt will offer red paint scheme along with other paint schemes.
When it comes to the engine of the Citroen Basalt, the SUV is expected to get a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that is also offered in the C3 Aircross. It offers 110hp of maximum power and 205Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as automatic gearbox options. The prime focus of the Citroen Basalt is the sloping roofline that gives it a coupe-like shape. It is expected that the Citroen Basalt will have features of C3 as well as C3 Aircross SUV.
