Post tariff hike Reliance Jio still continues to offer this cheapest plan, Know details about it

Recently there has been a price hike in the tariff of major telecom companies in India. Airtel, Vodafone Idea (VI) were the first two companies to increase the tariff. Later, Reliance Jio made the announcement for a hike in tariff (which is 20% of the older tariff). Post the hike the rates of Jio started at Rs 91, rather than Rs 75. It will be a delight for the users to know that the Rs 75 plan has been retained by the company. However, the benefits of the plan have been changed and users must know about it.

According to the information available on the Reliance Jio website, the Rs 75 Jio plan is available for JioPhone users only. This plan comes with a validity of 23 days and provides a data of 100MB/day along an extra 200MB. This means that users can avail a total data of 2.5 GB in a month. A total of 50 SMS are available for the users. In this plan, users also get subscription to Jio apps.

Some of the other popular unlimited plans that get a price hike are Rs 1299 plan, Rs 599 plan, Rs 555 plan, Rs 444 plan, Rs 399 plan etc. The Rs 1299 plan will now cost Rs 1559 for its users. The users can avail benefits such as 24GB data, 3600 SMS, unlimited calling along with a validity of 336 days. The Rs 599 will now cost Rs 719. It will provide 2GB daily data, 84 days validity, 100 SMS per day, unlimited calling etc. Similarly, the Rs 555 plan will now cost Rs 666. It offers users with 1.5GB data, 84 days validity, 100 SMS daily and unlimited calling.

The Rs 444 and Rs 399 plans which have a validity of 56 days will now cost Rs 533 and Rs 479 respectively. The Rs 533 plan offers 2GB daily data along with unlimited calling and 100 SMS/ day. Rs 479 plan offers benefits like 1.5GB daily data, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day etc.

Users should keep this in mind that even data add-ons also get a significant price hike. Plans like Rs 51, Rs 101 and Rs 251 also get a price hike. The new prices for the plans are Rs 61, Rs 121, and Rs 301 respectively. Depending on the value of the plan, price hike in Reliance Jio plans ranges from Rs 16 to Rs 480.
