New BMW New 2 Series Coupe Teased; Production To Begin Soon

BMW has teased the upcoming 2 Series Coupe and it says that the car is on the final stretch as the final phase of the series development process for the new edition begins with dynamic testing and tuning of its drive and suspension systems under racetrack conditions. The car will soon head for series production.

The BMW 2 Series Coupe are equipped with powerful engine and features to give a sporty experience.

The highlights of the two-door compact sports car is a rear-wheel drive setup, a powerful in-line 6-cylinder engine, almost 50:50 balanced axle load distribution and chassis technology designed for agile and dynamic drives.

The company will start the manufacturing of BMW 2 Series Coupe later in 2021. The vehicle was seen to retain the two-door model’s design in the pictures.

The test and tuning drives on the Nurburgring’s Nordschleife served as the ultimate test for wheel suspension, chassis, damping, steering and braking system during the development of the new BMW 2 Series Coupe.

The car was also tested in public country roads so that the drivers can experience dynamic driving qualities in daily traffic and under different road conditions.

The development and test engineers conducted extensive testing on all drive and chassis systems to check the engine’s performance characteristics in different roads and weathers.

The new BMW 2 Series Coupe also has the top-end M version which is dubbed as M240i xDrive. The BMW M240i xDrive Coupé top model will draw power from an in-line 6-cylinder petrol engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology.

It will generate 374 horsepower and is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. It produces a maximum output of 275 kW/374 hp. It also has the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive system.
