Mercedes-AMG A45 S: India’s fastest hatchback launched at Rs 79.50 lakhs

Mercedes-Benz has launched its performance oriented hatchback ‘Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+’ in the India today. The company claims that the AMG 45 S 4MATIC+
hatchback is the fastest hatchback available in the Indian market and is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 79.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Including this new launch, Mercedes-Benz has added 13 AMG vehicles in its line-up in India.

Engine specification

In terms of power the new hatchback is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. The engine generates a maximum power of 415 bhp and a peak torque of 500 Nm and is mated with an 8-speed DCT gearbox. Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds. This car achieves a top speed of 270 kmph.

Mercedes-AMG introduces 6 driving modes in the new hatchback which include Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual and Race. Additionally it gets a Drift Mode.

Design and safety

The new hatchback gets a radiator grille which is very specific in terms of AMG series. The car gets a bonnet that is aerodynamic bonnet, multi-beam LED headlights, wide front wings, flared wheel arches and alloy wheels. In terms of safety, the Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ gets features like Blind Spot Assist for convenience of drivers, Lane Keeping Assist, and enhanced Braking System, multiple airbags, Traction Control, ABS with EBD, Stability Control etc.

Colours

The new car is available in colours like Sun Yellow, Polar White, Mountain Grey, Designo Patagonia Red, Designo Mountain Gray Magno and Cosmos Black.

The Mercedes-AMG A45 S 4MATIC+ is specifically meant for those who are adrenaline enthusiasts and like cruising at high speeds. The impressive top speed of 270 kmph in just 3.9 seconds will put a smile on many car enthusiasts. Keeping in mind about the trustworthiness of the brand ‘Mercedes’ it is quite assumable that the hatchback will sell in good numbers.
