Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG launched in India; Know price and engine specifications

After introducing the new generation of Celerio in India in 2021, Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Celerio CNG in India. The car offers an attractive fuel efficiency of 35.60 km/kg and is priced at Rs 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CNG Celerio is however costlier than its petrol counterpart (LXi trim). It costs Rs 95,000 more than the petrol powered Celerio.

The Maruti Suzuki Celerio offers a factory-fitted CNG engine which is based on K10C engine. When it comes to engine, the 1.0 litre engine generates a power of 57hp and 82.1Nm torque. The power and torque figures are a less than the petrol powered variant. The Celerio petrol generates 67hp of power and 89 Nm of torque.

The 2021 Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG offers same technology and comfort as the petrol variant. The hatchback gets a 17.78cm Smartplay studio with smartphone navigation, steering-mounted audio controls, and door request switch with smart key, engine push start button, and AGS Technology.

Some attractive features of the CNG Celerio include a 3D Organic Sculpted Design along with radiant from grille and chrome accents. The 15-inch Black Alloy Wheels, new tail lamps make the Celerio more attractive. The dashboard is every bit functional, neat and up to date. An option for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also present in the car. There is an S-CNG batch on the tail gate that distinguishes it from other variants.

In terms of safety, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG offers dual airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Assist and many more safety features.

Considering the segment of the Celerio CNG, it rivals the Hyundai Santro CNG and the Tata Tiago CNG.
