Mahindra XUV700 teased to feature largest panoramic sunroof in segment

Mahindra & Mahindra has been releasing teasers of the upcoming XUV700 for the last few days. After the last teaser of the booster headlamps, the UV manufacturer has released a new teaser video which showcases the panoramic sunroof of the XUV.

The company has claimed that the panoramic sunroof, dubbed the skyroof, is the largest in the segment. The video has also revealed that the measurements of the sunroof is 1360 mm x 870 mm.

The back to back teaser release hints towards an early launch of the vehicle instead of the long expected launch in October 2021. Some reports have suggested that the car could be unveiled as early as next month.

The Mahindra XUV700 is build on the re-engineered version of SsangYong Tivoli’s X100 platform.

Engine and Features

The XUV700 though will be offered in six- and seven-seater configurations and is expected to be available with a 2.2-litre diesel and a new 2.0-litre petrol engine.

It will be offered with a six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission options. It may also come with an top-spec variants which will have an all-wheel-drive system.

The Mahindra XUV700 will offer a redesigned front grille, headlamps, bumpers, tail lamps and new LED Daytime Running Lights and flush-fitting type door handles, and a prominent kink when viewed from the sides.

The upcoming car will have a dual-screen layout, one of which will be for touchscreen infotainment system and the other for digital instrumentation.

It will also have flat-bottom steering wheel, different drive modes, cruise control, ADAS-based assistive features and many more advanced features.

After its launch, it will compete against Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier, MG Hector and others.
