Mahindra XUV700 surpasses 70,000 bookings, 700 vehicles delivered before Diwali

Mahindra has started making deliveries of the new flagship SUV Mahindra XUV700. The new SUV has already recorded a massive 70,000 bookings so far this festive season. As per reports, Mahindra has already delivered 700 XUV700 SUVs before Diwali.

Mahindra began its booking for its flagship XUV700 SUV in October just a few days ahead of the Festival season.

Mahindra booking has started with a high demand as it registered over 25,000 models under one hour of opening the booking process on October 7. The company added another 25,000 bookings within two hours the very next day.

Currently, Mahindra is delivering only the petrol variants of the SUV. The deliveries started from October 30. The company has been scheduled to start the deliveries of the diesel variants of the XUV700 SUV from the last week of November.

Mahindra XUV700 was launched on August 14 at an introductory price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex showroom) for the MX five-seater with manual transmission. However, the company revised the prices of the SUV variants after the first batch of booking.  The introductory price structure was revised after the first batch of SUVs were booked. Now, the XUV700 SUVs price starts from Rs 12.49 lakh (ex showroom).

The Mahindra XUV700 comes in four broad variants – MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7 and is available in both petrol and diesel engine choices, in five and seven-seat layouts, with manual as well as in automatic transmission options.

Mahindra XUV700 is powered by an mStallion 2.0 turbo-petrol engine that is capable of churning out 200 hp of power and 380 Nm of peak torque. It also comes in a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine variant that can produce up to 182 hp of power and 450 Nm of peak torque.

Mahindra XUV700 packs many advanced feature such as Advanced Driver Assistance System or ADAS, Pilot Assist feature, Alexa voice integration support, 12-speaker Sony audio system with 3D sound, 10.25-inch dual touchscreen infotainment system, 3D maps on driver display and much more.

The latest SUV also flaunts the largest-in-segment sunroof and electronically-adjustable driver seat with memory function.

2021 Mahindra XUV700 will compete against polar cars like Hyundai Creta and Alcazar, Tata Harrier and Safari along with other rivals in respective segments in the Indian market.
