Mahindra XUV700 production might start from July 25; Check expected price, features

Mahindra XUV700 is set to go for production within a month from now. Mahindra & Mahindra is expected to launch the XUV700 by late august or early September.

The countdown poster from the production facility fro the XUV has surfaced online. The poster says “31 days to go” that means it’s production is likely to begin from 25th July.

Mahindra XUV700 will be launched as a upgraded version of the XUV500. The XUV is expected to be more premium and to be available in both 6- and 7-seat configurations.

The 7-seater version of the XUV is likely to have bench seats in the second row, while the 6-seater is speculated to feature captain chairs instead. Apart from this, it could is expected to feature premium upholstery, along with wood/metallic trims.

Talking about the features of the vehicle, spy pictures of the four wheeler have hinted that the company may offer many upmarket equipment and features in the upcoming SUV. The features could include a dual-screen dash setup consisting of a digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment touchscreen sitting in a joint housing.

The XUV700 will also come with a panoramic sunroof, flush-type door handles, all-LED exterior lights, power-adjustable driver seat (with memory function), flat-bottom steering wheel (multi-function), keyless entry and go, connected car tech, etc.

The safety features of the car includes multiple airbags, autonomous driving aids, adaptive cruise control, and many more.

Mahindra XUV700 will have a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel motor. The engine will come with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT options. It could also have a electrified powertrain option as well.

The Mahindra XUV700 is expected to be priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom prices) in India. The new SUV will compete against the likes of Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and even the recently-launched Hyundai Alcazar.
