Mahindra Bolero finally gets standard dual airbags; Know price and features of updated SUV

Mahindra Bolero, One of the most popular SUVs in India, has finally got the standard dual front airbags. This will be the first time the SUV has updated to be equipped with dual airbags. Prior to this, the SUV only had a single airbag, which was present in the driver-side. The dual airbags has been made mandatory for all the vehicles from January 2022.

The new Mahindra Bolero is available for purchase in three variants, such as – B4, B6, and B6 (O).

The company has removed the grab handle on the co-driver side of the dashboard to integrate the additional airbag. Now, the driver and co-driver side of the vehicle will have the safety of airbags.

The Mahindra SUV comes with ABS, rear parking sensors, and a seatbelt reminder as standard safety features.

2022 Mahindra Bolero Price, colours

Earlier, Maruti updated its Eeco with standard dual airbags as well. The Mahindra Bolero and Eeco, which are among the longest-running models in India, now will have this standard safety feature.

The 2022 Mahindra Bolero is priced between Rs 8.85 lakh and Rs 9.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The prices of the updated model have been increased in the range of Rs 14,000 to 16,000. The new Bolero does not have any direct rival in the Indian market. The 2022 Mahindra Bolero is offered in three monotone paint schemes – White, Silver and Brown.

2022 Mahindra Bolero Engine, features

Mahindra hasn’t made any new changes to the Bolero, except for the new passenger side airbag. The new Mahindra Bolero gets a regular dashboard panel and a new faux wood garnish on the passenger side, which had a grab handle earlier.

It features a semi-digital instrument console, power steering, ABS with EBD, a Bluetooth-enabled music system with AUX and USB connectivity, manual AC, keyless entry, rear parking sensors and speed alert.

The Bolero is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine (76PS/210Nm) that produces 75bhp of power and 210Nm of torque. It comes paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
