In a viral piece of news, Lawrence Bishnoi t shirts were being sold on Meesho and were later taken down after netizens criticized the website, said reports. A X user going by the name of Alishan Jafri posted on his X profile and wrote, ” People are literally selling gangster merchandise on platforms like @Meesho_Official and Teeshopper. This is just one example of India’s latest online radicalization.”

In just 16 hours the post got as many as 6.4 k impressions and 1 k reshares with netizens expressing their shock and concern. “For much of October, I was following India’s online gangster fan groups. At a time when the police and NIA are struggling to stop youths from joining gang crime, social media influencers are making quick money by promoting gang content and glorifying gangsters, ” Jafri further told.
However later Alishan informed about the Lawrence Bishnoi t shirt that, “Now @Meesho_Official has taken down products promoting Lawrence but there are still some products promoting other gangsters like Durlabh Kashyap. It’s not just Meesho but there are many other pages and websites selling gangster merch for children.”
