The electric vehicle segment in India has been rapidly increasing in the last few years.When it comes to two wheelers there are a bunch of electric bikes/ scooters available in India. However, when it comes to electric cruiser bike, there has been a void in India. Electric scooter and bike manufacturer, Komaki is looking forward to launch India’s first electric cruiser bike.
This cruiser bike from Komaki will be launched in early 2022 (January). At present, Komaki is offering four electric bikes in India. However, the new cruiser bike will be the premium offering by the company. It is expected that once the cruiser bike is launched in the Indian market, it will create a niche for itself.
The company has not yet revealed any specifications of the crusier bike. However, given the fact that it will be cruiser, we expect it to have a long range on a single charge. It is expected to have an option for fast charging as well as regular charging. We expect that the bike will be priced around Rs 1 lakh- Rs 1.3 lakh when it is launched in India. The Director of Komaki Electric Division told the media that the company had the ultimate aim to cater to the needs of every customer segment.
Currently, Komaki electric offers four electric scooters in the Indian market. The company offers Komaki XGT-X1 electric bike, which it claims to be the most affordable e-scooter in the country.
