Hyundai Genesis GV60 unveiled, to run 480 kilometres on single charge

South Korean Automobile giant Hyundai has unveiled its brand new electric SUV- Genesis GV60. The Genesis GV60 is the first sports utility vehicle (SUV) of the company that is powered by electricity. It will officially make its debut in the later part of 2021.

The crossover will be based on Hyundai’s E-GMP architecture for EVs and will feature an 800V electrical architecture. A 350kW charging is expected to be offered for all GV60 variants.

Even though Hyundai Motors has not officially declared anything about the technical details of the GV60 yet, it is expected to be backed by 58kWh and 77.8kWh batteries. The range offered on the SUV will be around 480 kms on a single charge.

It is assumed that the GV60 will get a rear drive as well as four wheel drive variant. The rear-wheel-drive variant will have a single engine which is likely to offer 167 hp and 214 hp power. On the other hand, the four-wheel drive model with two-engines will generate 301 hp of power.

In terms of design, the GV60 gets a fresh headlamp design. The front headlamps consist of a set of quad headlamps on each side. A large pentagonal grille adds as a great design while be providing efficient cooling to the vehicle battery.

On the rear, the Genesis GV60 is shaped in the form of a coupe, which gives it a distinctive look. Two visible roof rails enhance the design of vehicle.

In terms of the vehicle interior, the dual-screen display magnifies the look of the dashboard, while a centre console provides all information about the vehicle.

Unfortunately, price of the Hyundai Genesis G60 is not revealed by the Company. As Indian car enthusiasts, we just expect the car to be affordable enough for the middle class buyers.
