Hyundai Creta, the much popular SUV by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai will get a facelift soon. The manufacturer has officially teased about the facelift version of Creta which will debut in Indonesia next month. The teaser of the refreshed Creta shows that it has inherited its looks from the new generation Tucson.
According to the teaser, the facelift Creta will get more rectangular headlamps which will be positioned at lower side than before. Apart from that the facelift Creta will also have a new design in terms of grille which blends with the front fascia and bumper. The rear of the new Creta was not visible in the teaser. However, we do expect that it will feature few or minor changes at the rear. The media sources state that the Creta will feature passive safety tech like ADAS in some higher variants.
In terms of engine specifications, the new Hyundai Creta will have a 1.5-litre petrol engine. The introduction of a diesel variant seems off the charts. The seating arrangements of the new Creta will include a 5 seater variant as well as a 7 seater variant. However, it is important to note that both the 5 seater and 7 seater variants will have same body dimensions. Users will have an option for six-speed manual or automatic transmission according to their need.
Currently, in India the second generation of Creta is being sold. It debuted in 2020 Auto Expo in February last year. The facelift version of Hyundai Creta will first go on sale in Indonesia. We are quite hopeful that the new Creta will be launched in India around 2nd half of 2022.
Currently, the Hyundai Creta costs between Rs 10.16 lakh and goes up to Rs 17.87 lakh in India. The base model is the Creta E while the top variant is the Hyundai Creta SX Opt Turbo.
