How to get subsidy on LPG Connection by linking your Aadhaar, Check the steps here

Even though the use of LPG cylinders for cooking across Urban India has become common, same cannot be said for the use of LPG cylinders in semi-urban / rural India. There are many families who are yet to shift from stove/ firewood to LPG cylinder. In case you are unaware, the government is also providing subsidies on a LPG connection. However, if you are one of those who have an active LPG connection and do not avail subsidy from the government, don’t worry about it.

In order to avail subsidy on your existing LPG connection you just have to link your Aadhaar card with the active LPG connection. You will be surprised to know that in order to avail a subsidy you do not have to make frequent visits of the gas office. You can simply sit at the comfort of your home and can link your LPG connection with Aadhaar.

Follow these methods to link LPG connection with your Aadhaar connection.

Method 1 (Visiting the website)

• Visit the home page of Resident Self Seeding of UIDAI.
• Select the benefit type which you want to avail. Enter the name of the scheme of your LPG connection. The customers with Indane connections should select IOCL while Bharat Gas connections should select BPCL.
• Select the name of your distributor from the given list. Then enter your LPG consumer number.
• Enter some details relating to you such as mobile number; email address, Aadhaar number etc. Then click on the Submit button.
• After you click the Submit button an OTP will be generated and sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and submit.

Method 2 (Through a call centre)

If you are facing any issues through the website of UIDAI, you can opt for another secure method to link Aadhaar with LPG. You have to call the call centre/ helpline number and then follow the instructions given by them. It is very convenient for those who have a less knowledge about internet or smartphone.
