Havells India shares advance 2.56% outpacing broad market gainers
Despite lower trading volumes, the consumer electricals stock outperforms the benchmark SENSEX, hovering comfortably above its 52-week lows.
Mumbai: Havells India Ltd rose 2.56% today to trade at Rs 1189.2. The consumer electrical goods maker outperformed the broader market moves on a day when the sector’s sectoral index recorded minor gains.
Trading activity saw a quieter response compared to the stock’s usual monthly metrics, with 6,851 shares moving across the counter on the BSE, significantly lower than its one-month daily average volume of 52,678 shares. Over a broader horizon, Havells has built a 3.98% gain over the past month. The growth path is slightly lower than the 5.51% monthly jump of the BSE Consumer Durables index but higher than the benchmark SENSEX which crawled up by 3.07% in the same period.
The broader consumer durables space was mixed in the long term with sporadic intraday rallies. The BSE Consumer Durables index was up 0.65% to 60018.66 on the day, boosted by peers such as Titan Company Ltd, which rose 2.15%, and Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd, which was up 1.8%. Over the past 12 months, the consumer durables index logged a slight decline of 0.04%, demonstrating stark resilience when compared to the 8.55% correction seen in the benchmark SENSEX.
The company still finds itself between notable cyclical milestones in its trading position for investors monitoring long-term volatility. Havells India hit a record life time high of Rs 1622.7 on September 17, 2025. On the other hand, the scrip has recently recovered from its 52-week low of Rs 1123.85, which it had touched on June 2, 2026.
