New Delhi: Former Religare Chairman Sunil Godhwani was detained at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport here by Economic Offences Wing (EOW), ANI reported on Thursday.

Sources said, Godhwani was flying to the United States to visit his son.
Notably, the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) has issued a lookout circular for the Godhwani in Fortis, Religare fraud case.
Earlier, a complaint was filed against Godhwani in the case of Religare Enterprises, which is under the scanner for alleged financial irregularities. Religare Enterprises Ltd (REL) and Religare Finvest Ltd (RFL) had filed a complaint against him.
The REL is the holding company for one of India’s leading diversified financial services groups headquartered in New Delhi.
