Finance company employee dies by suicide due to unbearable work pressure

Uttar Pradesh: A tragic incident has shaken everyone where a 42-year-old finance employee allegedly killed himself due to unbearable work pressure and fear of losing job. The unfortunate incident took place in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

The employee identified as Tarun Saxena was working as an area manager.  Tarun was tasked with collecting EMIs from his designated area. He was facing humiliation from his seniors for not meeting the targets on time. His seniors were threatening him to deduct his salary if he doesn’t meet the target on time. He allegedly took his life due to unbearable pressure.

Reportedly the 42-year-old man was found hanging in his room by the housekeeper. He had locked his wife and two children in another room before taking his life. He left a suicide note before killing himself.

In his suicide note he revealed that, he was under immense stress since few days. He couldn’t sleep or eat in last 45 days due to stress. He was constantly mocked by his seniors for not meeting the target. His seniors didn’t acknowledge the challenges he faced in loan recovery.  They were forcing him to cover uncollected EMIs from his own pocket. The pressure and threats had taken a devastating toll on his mental health and he took his life.

Tarun’s cousin Gaurav Saxena said that, Tarun Saxena was his elder cousin. The finance  company he was working in, had been pressuring him to bring in more collections from the market. His seniors deducted his salary after he failed to meet the targets. In the fateful morning around 6:00 am, Vaibhav Saxena and Prabhakar Mishra, who are based in Bhopal, held a conference with him and instigated him, following which he died by suicide.

The police have said that, a suicide note was found, in which the dead accused his superiors of harassment, pressuring him to meet high recovery targets. If a complaint is lodged by the family, further investigation will be initiated.
