Engineering student from Madhya Pradesh makes affordable electric car with 185 kms of range on a single charge

It will be no doubt to accept the fact that the age of electric vehicles have arrived and vehicle manufactures (both two-wheeler & four-wheeler) are silently shifting towards the new change. However, due to the purchasing cost, the middle-class buyers of India are still in a dilemma of buying an electric vehicle or not. Under such circumstances, an engineering student from Sagar, Madhya Pradesh has done a commendable job of building an electric car that runs for 185 km on a single charge and is easy on the pocket too.

This electric car has been made totally from scratch by Himanshu Bhai Patel after a hard work of 5 months. Himanshu claims that the top speed of the car is 50 kmph and it covers a total distance of 185 km on a single charge. In order to fully charge the vehicle, users merely have to spend Rs 30 from their wallet.

In terms of design, this electric car gives us a vibe of a Mahindra Commander SUV. Contrary to the Commander SUV this electric vehicle is compact in size and accommodates 5 passengers including the driver. It would not be wrong to say that, the car has a vintage look and will be appealing to many enthusiasts. When it comes to the cost of the vehicle, you will be surprised to know about it. Himanshu revealed that the entire process of building the car costs only Rs 2 lakh. The plans for commercializing this electric car remain unknown.

The battery of the electric car is fully recharged in a matter of just 4 hours.  Considering the charging time of electric cars available in India, the charging time of this EV is significantly good. What is the most amazing thing about the car is that it gets a start/ stop function with a remote controller. The car can also be reversed by a single button.

Some important features of the electric car include an electronic speed meter, battery power meter, and fast charger. There is also the presence of MCB in the car in order to avoid an accident triggered by a short circuit. An alarm is also installed in the car in order to protect it from theft.
