Citroen C5 Aircross SUV Launching In India Today; Check Price And Other Details Here

Group PSA’s Citroen is finally entering the Indian market with its first product ‘Citroen C5 Aircross SUV’ which will be launched today in India around 3 PM IST.

The Citroen C5 Aircross SUV was initially set to launch in the Indian market last year however it paused its debut plan due to Covid-19 Pandemic. 

The vehicle will primarily go up against the likes of the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan facelift, Jeep Compass and the Hyundai Tucson in the segment.

The SUV will get a single 2.0-litre diesel engine option that will produce 175 hp of power along with 400Nm of torque. It is tested to have an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.  The Suv will have features like comfort, convenience, safety, connectivity and others.

The car will be launched in the two variant namely Feel and Shine and customers will get four colour options to choose from out of which three will be dual-tone shades.

The Feel team level of the SUV gets a set of 18-inch ‘SWIRL’ two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, halogen headlamps, LED daytime running lights, 3D LED taillamps, LED turn indicators on ORVM, front fog lamps with cornering function, rear fog lamps and LED stop lamp as standard.

As for the Shine trim, it additionally only gets LED vision projector headlamps and a panoramic sunroof.  The five-seater Citroën’s advanced comfort suspension with progressive hydraulic cushions will be one of its highlights.

The equipment list gets a 12.3-inch TFT instrumentation, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, illuminated glove box, dual-zone climate control, alloy foot pedals, embossed scuff plates, satin chrome finish inside door handles, six-speaker audio, six airbags, ESP, HDC, HSA, TC, blind spot information tech, EPB, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, etc.

The new Citroen C5 Aircross will be a Completely Knockdown unit (CKD). The company has already started manufacturing of the premium SUV at the CK Birla facility in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu.

The expected price of the Citroen C5 Aircross  is around Rs 23 lakh to Rs 25 lakh ( ex-showroom). The pre-booking of Citroen C5 Aircross SUV are already open for Rs 50,000.
