BSNL now offers high-speed internet for free outside home with National Wi-Fi Roaming Service: Know benefits
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a national Wi-Fi roaming service in India. The new service will provide access to high-speed internet outside home for free. This service is only applicable for the fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) customers.
With the National Wi-Fi Roaming service, customers of BSNL (FTTH) can connect to their Wi-Fi hotspots and get to enjoy high-speed internet outside their homes. Users can access BSNL’s network from any location in India where BSNL Wi-Fi is offered by using the National Wi-Fi roaming service.
BSNL’s new National Wi-Fi Roaming service will be accessible to both urban and rural consumers. It will enable them to access high-speed internet at BSNL hotspots no matter wherever it is available. With the help of Wi-Fi Roaming service, current FTTH customers can connect to any of the BSNL’s Wi-Fi hotspots across the nationwide for free. It will help them save some money too.
The BSNL FTTH customers can use the Wi-Fi roaming service by registering through the company’s official website at https://portal.bsnl.in/ftth/wifiroaming. Then they can start browsing.
In addition to its nationwide Wi-Fi roaming service, BSNL has also launched the first fiber-based intranet TV service, called IFTV. This service offers live TV streaming via fiber across more than 500 channels. The telecom operator has unveiled a direct-to-device (D2D) satellite connectivity service as well. The BSNL D2D satellite connectivity service was developed in collaboration with California-based communications technology company Viasat. This service will enable users to make emergency calls even when Wi-Fi or cellular network connectivity is unavailable.
