BSNL Launches 4G Services In Andhra Pradesh, 350 New 4G Towers Installed

Hyderabad: After a long wait, BSNL’s 4G network has finally gone live. BSNL 4G is now available in the Andhra Pradesh circle with a robust infrastructure. The new 4G network is expected to help BSNL give a boost to its revenues and compete with the current players in the telecom market.

A report from Telecom Talk suggests that BSNL has gone live with its 4G service with an infrastructure of 350 towers in the circle. This will position BSNL in the same arena as its rivals from the private sector. Do note that BSNL doesn’t mention whether the network supports VoLTE like its rivals.

As for the plans, BSNL subscribers will able to use the 3G plans with the same data benefits. Previously, BSNL was also offering extra free data to its subscribers who were upgrading from a 3G SIM to a 4G SIM card.

With 4G, BSNL could be able to make up for all the financial losses it has suffered so far. BSNL has been going for cheaper plans to appeal to subscribers in tier 2 and tier 3 cities as well as rural areas. Most of these plans have been offering more data along with free unlimited calls to appeal to those subscribers from the private sector telecom players.
