The Indian Government’s own telecom company, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is in talks with a domestic telecom startup organization to provide 5G in India.
According to reports, the telecom startup will be using BSNL’s network to provide 5G services in the country. For this, the company might start the trial in different places across the country soon.
The three months trial will mainly be focused on non-public networks. The trial for 5G will likely be conducted at locations like Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai. Inititally, BSNL networks with 700MHz band will be provided in the testing area.
List of places the BSNL 5G trial will be held are as follows:
Delhi- Connaught Place, Sanchar Bhavan, JNU Campus, IIT, India Habitat Centre
Bangalore- Government office, Government Indoor office
Gurugram- Selected locations
Hyderabad- IIT
BSNL to provide 5G public trials
As per the Voice of Indian Communication Tachnology Enterprises (VoICE), the company is ready to provide 5G trials for public use. Moreover, they also had a meeting with BSNL regarding this matter. BSNL will be providing spectrum, towers, batteries, power supply, and other infrastructure.
