Bounce Infinity e-scooter launched at a starting price of Rs 45,099; Offers users with swappable battery

Scooter rental service start-up Bounce has finally launched its Infinity e-scooter in India. The Bounce e-scooter has been launched at an attractive price of Rs 68,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi), if opted with a battery and charger. However, if you opt for a scooter without battery (battery as a service) you have to pay Rs 45,099 (ex-showroom Delhi). The booking of the e-scooter can be done by paying a token amount of just Rs 499.

Bounce has told that the test rides of the scooter will start in mid-December while the deliveries will commence by March 2022. The best thing about the scooter is that it comes with a rechargeable swappable battery. In India, Bounce is the first company to introduce swappable battery in e-scooters. This feature gives Bounce an edge over its competitors like Bajaj Chetak Electric, Ola scooter, TVSiQube, Ather 450X etc.

The Bounce Infinity electric scooter is powered by a two kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. On a full charge the battery gives a range of 85 km. The top speed that can be achieved by the scooter is 65 kmph. A new ‘Drag mode’ introduced by the company enables users to drag the scooter in case of a puncture. A smart app for the scooter can be used to pair the scooter with your smartphone.

If you are wondering how the company is planning to enter the electric vehicle market, you will be surprised to know that it acquired 22Motors in the recent future. The acquisition by Bounce took place a month ago at an approximate value of Rs 52 crores (USD 7 million). Hence, Bounce has acquired manufacturing plant at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan which has an annual manufacturing capacity of 1, 20,000. The company further plans to set-up a manufacturing plant in the Southern India.

Bounce scooter rental service offers daily, weekly, monthly, annually rental plans to cater the needs of its customers. The prices of subscription per day start as low as Rs 300. The bike rental service of Bounce is available in cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, Vadodara, Vijayawada, Jaipur etc.
