Planning for a new car: Toyota cars to get costlier from next month in India

The Toyota cars which are being sold in India are expected to get expensive from next month onwards. The company (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) has announced about the price hike that will be implemented on the cars from April 1, 2022. The price hike will be applicable on all the cars manufactured by the company.

Toyota has announced up to 4 percent hike in its vehicle prices from next month. The prices of the vehicles have increased because of rising input costs, informed the company in its statement. In India Toyota sells Fortuner, Innova Crysta, Camry, Vellfire, Glanza and Urban Cruiser.

The current prices of the Toyota cars are mentioned below for your convenience.

Toyota Glanza– The Toyota Glanza premium hatchback costs between Rs 6.39 – Rs 9.69 lakh. The car gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine.

Toyota Fortuner– The Toyota Fortuner SUV costs between Rs 31.39 – Rs 43.43 lakh. The car gets two variants of engine (2.7 litre and 2.8 litre). While the 2.7 litre is a petrol variant, the 2.8 litre variant is a diesel variant.

Toyota Innova Crysta– Toyota Innova Crysta costs between Rs 17.30- Rs 25.32 lakh. The MPV gets a 2.7-litre petrol engine along with a 2.4-litre diesel engine.

Toyota Camry– Currently, the Toyota Camry is the only sedan that is offered by the company. The sedan is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine coupled with an electric motor. The car costs Rs 41.70 lakh.

Toyota Vellfire– The most premium car that is offered by Toyota is the Toyota Vellfire and it has a starting price of Rs 89.90 lakh. The luxury MPV gets a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine along with a 4WD system.

Toyota Urban Cruiser– The SUV is priced between Rs 8.87 lakh and Rs 11.58 lakh and is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. The SUV shares the design and engine as that of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
