If you are planning to buy a new Hyundai car this year, you must know that the company is planning to launch new editions of its existing cars. Apart from adding new editions of its popular cars, Hyundai is also planning to launch a new EV. The new editions of the Hyundai cars include models like Tucson, Creta, Venue, Kona electric etc. Hyundai is planning to introduce a new electric crossover-Ioniq 5 in India.

Check some important details about the upcoming Hyundai cars in 2022 are as follows.

Hyundai Tucson

The next generation of Hyundai Tucson is the next upcoming premium SUV offered by Hyundai in India. According to various reports, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson will be a 7 seater and not a 5 seater. Various reports have suggested that the upcoming SUV will be equipped with a lot of features including ADAS safety feature. The Hyundai Tucson is expected to go on sale in the second half of 2022 along with various changes in external and internal features.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is expected to be offered in petrol as well as diesel engines. We expect an AWD variant (top variant) in the 2022 Hyundai Tucson line-up. The global edition of the Tucson (4th generation) is offered in petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engines include a 2.5-litre, 4 cylinder, direct-injection engine and a 1.6-litre turbo petrol hybrid. On the other hand, the diesel engine includes 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre engine variants.

Hyundai Venue

The 2022 Hyundai Venue is expected to launch soon in India. The compact SUV is expected to have the same engine 1.2-litre/ 1.0-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. The design of the Hyundai Venue is expected to feature some cosmetics changes on the exterior. The front of the vehicle is expected to get a revised look, while the cabin will also get some new touches.

Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta which is the most popular SUV of the company in India is expecting to receive a facelift. The front of the SUV will get major design change while the engine will be the same. The SUV will feature petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine will be 1.4-litre and 1.5-litre, while the diesel engine will be a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

Hyundai Kona electric

The Hyundai Kona electric is the only electric car that is offered by the company in India. We expect that the Hyundai Kona electric will receive some design changes. The EV will get refreshed looks at the front which include headlights, bumpers and other finishing details. The cabin of the EV will also receive some changes. We are expecting to hear some important details from the company soon. The current generation of Kona electric offers a magnificent range of 452 km (ARAI claimed).

Hyundai IONIQ 5

According to reports, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV is all set to launch in India this year. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is expected to launch in India as a CBU unit and boost the EV sales in the country. The Hyundai IONIQ 5 has recently been selected as the 2022 World Car of the Year. This EV from Hyundai has also won other awards which include 2022 World Car Design of the Year and World Electric Vehicle of the Year.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is offered in two powertrain options- single motor setup (two-wheel drive version) and dual-motor setup (all-wheel-drive version). The single motor setup offers a power of 169hp and 350Nm of torque. The single motor variant accelerates from 0-100kph in 8.5 seconds.  On the other hand, a dual-motor setup offers a power of 306hp and 605Nm torque. It accelerates from 0-100kph in just 5.2 seconds.
