New Range Rover Sport unveiled in India, prices start at Rs 1.64 crore

The new Range Rover Sport has been unveiled in India. The SUV maker (Land Rover) has now announced the prices of the car. The price of the Range Rover Sport has been updated on the company’s Indian website. Buyers can purchase the new Range Rover Sport at a starting price of Rs 1.64 crore. The Range Rover Sport is available in four trims and top variant goes up to Rs 1.84 crore.

Engine

The new Range Rover Sport is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. The 3.0 litre engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The engine churns out a maximum power of 345bhp and peak torque of 700Nm. The SUV can achieve acceleration from 0 to 100kmph in 5.9 seconds. On the other hand the new Range Rover Sport can achieve a top speed of 234kmph. In the future we expect, Land Rover to offer hybrid and V8 versions of the SUV.

Design and Features

The new Range Rover Sport is built on MLA-Flex architecture which makes its wheelbase longer as compared to the outgoing model. The front of the SUV gets a sporty look along with a slimmer grille and headlamps. The new model offers flush-fitting door handles. At the rear the bumper gets a black skid plate along with two rectangular exhaust tips.

When it comes to features, the SUV gets a 13.1inch touchscreen, 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, 22-way power-adjustable seats, dynamic air suspension and much more. Some of the notable features include a head-up display, a driver assist pack, a surround-view camera setup, heated outside rearview mirror, leather upholstery, and much more.

Trims and prices

The new Range Rover Sport is available in four trims. The four trims are Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography and First Edition. The Dynamic SE variant costs Rs 1.64 crore while the Dynamic HSE variant costs Rs 1.71 crore. The top trims i.e. Autobiography and First Edition cost Rs 1.81 lakh and Rs 1.84 lakh respectively.

It is expected that Land Rover will start the bookings of the SUV in the upcoming months. The deliveries of the new Range Rover Sport are expected to be around the end of the year.
