Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the sport version of its popular hatchback Maruti Swift in India. The Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport is the sportier version of the Swift and is available abroad. Recently, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport was seen while testing in India and we are hopeful that it will be launched this year. If the car gets launched in India, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai i20N Line.

When it comes to the design, the Swift Sport has some distinct looks in comparison to the regular Swift. The spied images of the Swift Sport show that it has new bumpers along with dual exhausts. The new Swift Sport also gets a roof-mounted spoiler, new alloy wheels that are dual-toned, a reverse parking camera and much more. The Sport badge of the Maruti Swift can also be seen at the rear.

The engine of the Suzuki Swift Sport that is sold abroad gets a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine churns out a maximum power of 127 bhp and 235 Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission that can help the car to achieve 210kmph. The upgraded model is expected to get a better suspension and a stronger chassis. The tyre profile of Swift Sport will also be different than the regular version. On the other hand, the Swift that is sold in India is powered by a K12 series Dual Jet Dual VVT 1.2-litre petrol engine that offers 89 bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of torque.

In terms of safety features, the Swift Sport gets a plethora of features aboard. The Swift Sport offers ADAS features which include adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, collision mitigation braking etc.
