Hyundai Venue Facelift first look leaked ahead of June debut

The unofficial bookings for the facelifted Hyundai Venue SUV are already open and the prices will be announced on June 16. Now, a 3D model configuration of the exterior style of the facelifted Hyundai Venue has been leaked online ahead of its launch. The 2022 Venue’s front profile is inspired by the new generation Tucson, that is likely to be launched in India this year.

Expected changes

Exterior

The leaked 3D model photos shows the upcoming Hyundai Venue facelift with a Parametric Jewel grille, but with the same split headlight setup. However, the upper portion of the headlight has been replaced by sleeker lamps. The front bumper has also been updated to a more simplistic look.

It gets 16-inch alloys, but apart from this, there is no noticeable change in the side profile. It also gets connected LED taillights and a restyled bumper. Though the 3D model photos revealed many changes, the overall boxy silhouette of the SUV remains unchanged.

Interior

Hyundai Venue facelift is also expected to receive some revisions inside the cabin. It may get a revised upholstery and a redesigned centre console. The facelifted Venue will likely receive some new features including a full LED lighting, a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a possible premium Bose sound system, front ventilated seats, and four airbags (standard).

Powertrain options (Expected)

The engine and transmission options of the 2022 Venue will likely remain same. It may come with an 83PS 1.2-litre petrol with a 5-speed manual, a 100PS 1.5-litre diesel with a 6-speed manual, and a 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual), and a 7-speed DCT. It could also get a diesel-automatic option, like the Kia Sonet. Hyundai will also introduce the second N Line model with the facelifted Venue in India.

The updated Venue will cost more than the current model which starts at Rs 7.11 lakh to Rs 11.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will continue to rival the likes of Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV300.
