Hyundai to offer ADAS safety features in Creta and Alcazar in India soon

Hyundai has emerged as a popular car manufacturer in Indian market. The carmaker has provided the Indian users with vehicles that are not only budget friendly but also offer a lot of features. In order to make its cars more feature rich, the automaker is expected to introduce ADAS features in its SUVs sold in India. Reports suggest that the Hyundai Creta and Alcazar will receive the ADAS update before the end of 2022.

For those who are not acquainted with automobile terminology, the ADAS or Advanced Driver Assistance System offers Level 2 autonomous driving assistance to the driver. The assistance includes automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring etc.

It is important to note that Mahindra had already introduced the ADAS feature on the XUV700. Similarly MG introduced the ADAS in the Astor SUV. Both the XUV 700 and MG Astor fall under the mid-size SUV segment.

The new generation of Tucson will be the first Hyundai model in India to get this feature. We expect the company to extend the feature in its mid-range cars like Creta, Alcazar and Verna with due course of time.

Apart from ADAS, Hyundai is increasing its safety features on its vehicles in India. This means that different models of Hyundai will get six airbags, ESC, VSM and ISOFIX.

We expect a price hike in both the Creta and Alcazar, once the new features are rolled out. Currently Hyundai Creta costs between Rs 10.23 lakh to Rs 17.94 lakh. On the other hand the Hyundai Alcazar costs between Rs 16.34 lakh to Rs 20.14 lakh.

Hyundai i20 has been one of the of the best-selling premium hatchbacks in India till date. The company (Hyundai) has now revealed two new variants of this popular car. The two variants of the i20 are 1.2L Asta (O) CVT and the 1.0 Sportz DCT. Hyundai has also introduced new features in the existing variants of the i20. Interestingly, the company has not discontinued any existing models from its line-up.
